Appearing on the scene in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom, Ke Huy Quan has experienced one of the most interesting acting careers of our time. He was alongside Harrison Ford as the archeologist’s sidekick and went on to star in The Goonies the following year, side by side with other young actors at the time such as Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, and Corey Feldman. But in 2022, his career would be totally changed for the better.
A24‘s Everything Everywhere All At Once was the film sensation of last year. It took a down-to-earth story about a woman in a struggling marriage who was estranged from her husband (Quan) and tied it wonderfully into sci-fi, multiverse elements. The movie went on to take home seven Oscars and raked in the highest gross A24 has ever seen, and one of its wins was Ke Huy Quan for best performance by a supporting actor.
Since the win and his ever expanding career, Quan has signed with UTA, or the United Talent Agency. To give a taste of who the UTA represents, a few of their clients include Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp, and Don Cheadle.
On top of signing with them, Quan has a large list of new projects coming up with his name on them. He’s making his introduction to the MCU with the second season of Loki, working alongside the Russo Brothers for Netflix’s The Electric State, and is currently in American Born Chinese, which premiered on Disney+ May 24th, reuniting him with his fellow EEAAO alum, Michelle Yeoh.
