A new clip for the upcoming film MURDER BURY KILL has hit the web on director/writer Michael Lovan’s YouTube channel. The Gravitas Ventures film follows three friends aiming to get their board game, Murder Bury Kill, out in the board game industry. The film is written and directed by Michael Lovan and stars Mikelen Walker, Erich Lane, Henry Alexander Kelly, Craig Cackowski, and Brian Slaten.
In the clip Craig Cackowski, most famous for his role as Officer Cackowski in Community, engages with the board game creators and tells them that their game will be on shelves all around the country, on one condition: he gets sole possession of the game.
The film is marketed as a comedic thriller, probably in the vein of a film like Game Night, which balanced comedy and action rather well. Lately, there has been a severe lack of comedy films. More over comedy films have typically balanced serious subjects with some comedic aspects. Films like The Spy Who Dumped Me, We’re the Millers, and Palm Springs largely balance action or some greater focus into its premise.
MURDER BURY KILL will be Lovan’s feature directorial debut. The film looks promising and could be an under the radar find for film lovers everywhere. The film is set to stream On Demand on Tuesday April 27, 2021.
